Van Coke Kartel bring their Winter Tour to The Asembly
Van Coke Kartel is one of the most prolific bands in South-Africa. The band’s larger than life performances and the outstanding quality of their acclaimed fourth album, Wie’s Bang, have earned them 3 MK Awards, including Best Group. They have also been nominated for a SAMA Award as well as two Tempo Award nominations in the Rock category and Alternative Music Video of the Year for their hit video, Dis ‘n Land.
In 2012, Van Coke Kartel has been hitting stages across the country like an unstoppable wildfire. They have played at festivals including Kaktus op die Vlaktes at KKNK, Splasy Fen and MK by die Dam. The band joined the Campus Invasion and VanFokKingTasties tours and played extraordinary shows nationwide, including the Old Mutual Concert at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens. The guys have also made an effort to visit places they have never been before such as Vereeniging, Midrand, Alberton and Klerksdorp.
Now they are setting winter ablaze with their upcoming Jägermeister & Monster Enegry Winter Tour. Van Coke Kartel will be introducing a brand new set with more material from Wie’s Bang, but not forgetting the favourites from the previous three albums. This new set showcases the band’s growth through the diversity of their songs ranging from a softer sound to the harder songs the fans have come to know and love.
The inclusion of live versions of Wie´s Bang tracks: Nou Of Nooit, Einde van die Wêreld, Brein Verloor and Dankie, ek is Veilig hier adds extra spice to the Van Coke Kartel live set.
The band will be taking their Winter Tour across the country including Cape Town.
